Tide Win at Home: A Shore Thing

Truro Tide are perched comfortably in first place in the new Eastern Canadian Basketball League, which includes an unblemished home record.  

The Tide defeated the Bathurst Bears 119-102 Sunday afternoon at Cobequid Education Centre to improve their record to 12-1, which includes six home-court wins.

The Bears fell to 2-10.

Garric Young led the Tide with 30 points while Travis Adams poured in 24 and Oyemuh Gibson had 21. Brian Williams answered with 28 points for the Bears while Gio Jackson had 17 and Josiah Moore added 13.

League play resumes on Saturday, when the Charlottetown Power (7-7) visit the Valley Vipers (4-7) and the Bears entertain the Moncton Motion (5-6).
