Power Trip

Charlottetown Power are back at the .500 mark after a solid victory on the road.

The Power defeated the hometown Saint John Union 110-106 in a new Eastern Canadian Basketball League game before 730 spectators Friday night at TD Station.

The win gives Charlottetown a 4-4 record while Saint John dropped to 4-3.

Adam Stanford led the Power with 28 points while Zach Hinton added 24 and Jack MacAulay had 19. Mikey Rodriquez replied with 28 points for the Union, who trailed 57-56 at halftime. Chevon Brown netted 19 points and Sakim Wyche chipped in with 17.

The Union host the Valley Vipers (1-4) on Sunday at 2 p.m. at TD Station. Moncton Motion (3-3) visit the Bathurst Bears (0-6) on Sunday at 4 p.m. at K.C. Irving Centre.
