Tide Remain Undefeated
The new Eastern Canadian Basketball League is three weeks old, and no team has been able to stem the Truro Tide.
The Tide improved their record to 5-0 Saturday night by beating the hometown Charlottetown Power 110-103 before 500 spectators at the Eastlink Centre.
The Power’s record fell to 2-2.
Tyrone Watson led the Tide with 23 points while Tyler Scott and DeQuan Cascort each poured in 21. Zack Hinton answered with 29 points for the Power, who trailed 55-46 at the half. KV Myricks added 24 points while Dekelle Brooks and Jack MacAuley each had 14.
The Power clash with the Valley Vipers (0-1) on Sunday at 2 p.m. in Charlottetown. The Vipers haven’t played a game since March 30.
