Power Surge Past Motion

Charlottetown Power’s offense was electric in its Eastern Canadian Basketball League debut Saturday night.

The Power dominated from start to finish and defeated the Moncton Motion 119-98 before 700 spectators at the Eastlink Centre in Charlottetown. Moncton’s record slipped to 1-1.

Adam Stanford led the Power with 36 points and seven rebounds. Dekelle Brooks picked up six assists. Robbie Robinson answered with 25 points for the Motion.

The Power led 61-52 at halftime.

The Power visit the Saint John Union (2-1) on Sunday afternoon. Game time is 2PM at TD Station. The Motion return to action on April 20, when they host the Union at the Avenir Centre.
