Vipers Uncoil
Valley Vipers head coach Eric Perry knows the situation is less than ideal, but his focus remains positive. The Vipers visit the Truro Tide on Thursday night (March 30). Game time is 7 p.m. at the Cobequid Education Centre.
“We haven’t had everyone at practice yet, but I have seen great commitment from our players,” Perry says. “They want to play for each other and play as a unit,” he adds. “As the players arrive, they will all realize all of our goals are team-oriented.”
The coach is installing a high-tempo attack with responsible defensive play. The Vipers have been holding workouts at Horton High School in Wolfville and some elementary schools while adjusting to life in the Annapolis Valley.
“We went to the junior hockey playoff game a few nights ago and people were welcoming us to the community,” Perry says. “People are very friendly and we expect to see a lot of them come out to see some pro basketball.”
