Plans are in Motion

Dave Tingley has a seemingly endless checklist of plans – both great and small – to take care as the inaugural Eastern Canadian Basketball League season nears. Tingley, the ambitious manager of business and basketball operations with the Moncton Motion, is encouraged by the support the team has already received.

The Motion have scheduled an information session for volunteers, sponsors and other supporters on Tuesday (March 21) at 7:30 p.m. at the Harrison Trimble High School auditorium.

“We’re very excited about the response we have received in the community since we launched the Motion,” Tingley says. “Now, we have to make sure all of our volunteer positions are filled and we can take some time to reach out and speak to our great fans,” he adds. “There are still a lot of things to take care of, and we don’t have a lot of time, but I am encouraged by the way everything is shaping up.”

Tingley says brisk sponsorship and season ticket sales have been promising. The Motion have also generated a lot of social media chatter, and the feedback from the basketball community has been supportive.

“We still have a few weeks before training camp so we’re going to be busy,” he continues. “You’re going to hear a lot about the Motion. It’s our goal to be very active in Moncton and the surrounding area.”

Papa Johns
