Rehman

Ammar Rehman, a six-foot-five shooting guard from Los Angeles, takes nothing for granted. Rehman will bring his constant sense of gratitude to the new Eastern Canadian Basketball League.

“Basketball has been a big part of my life for a long time,” the 27 year-old California says. “Now, I am getting a chance to play professionally so I am going to make the most of it and appreciate it,” he adds.  “Getting an opportunity to get paid for doing something you love is something most people never get a chance to do.”

Rehman played at Skagit Valley College, when the team was the first member of a small colleges’ Christian League to upset a Division I school. They defeated Cal State Northern. Rehman later transferred to Bethesda University, near Anaheim, where he played for two years and majored in business administration.

“I feel like I am more of a versatile player now,” he says. “I’m a scorer, but I can also post up and become an aggressive player when I have to be.”

He’s looking forward to working with community organizations in his Eastern Canadian Basketball League home.

“You have to believe in a higher power because without God you can get caught up in life’s distractions and you won’t be able to reach your potential.”

Papa Johns

In 1984, Papa Johns Pizza started in the small town of Jeffersonville, Indiana, and its popularity has spread all the way to Atlantic Canada. Today, Papa Johns boasts over 3,600 restaurants and can be found in more than 35 international markets outside of the USA. In Atlantic Canada, we opened our first Papa Johns franchise in Moncton, operating under the name of PJ Atlantic Restaurants Ltd. in 2009.

This was the first of many Papa Johns restaurants to be opening over the next few years to serve the Maritime provinces. We now have a dozen restaurants in the following areas:
