Clothes Call

Eastern Canadian Basketball League founder Ravi Verma is looking forward to seeing fans showing off their team colors when the first regular season tips off in late March.

“It’s an exciting time for our league because everything is coming together,” Verma says. “Our season tickets are on sale, the sponsorships are coming in and, now, the team merchandise is going to be available so that’s great news for us and our fans in the Maritimes, who have been asking for this” he adds.

Starting Wednesday afternoon, merchandise for all seven franchises will be on sale through the league’s website. Moncton Motion, Bathurst Bears, Saint John Union, Charlottetown Power, Summerside Slam, Truro Tide and Valley Vipers will each have merchandise for sale.

Team gear by Adidas will include: track jackets, t-shirts, hoodies, shorts and polo shirts. Uniforms, like the ones worn by players, will be available in the future.

To order, fans will have to visit the Eastern Canadian Basketball League’s website and click on their favorite team’s logo. An order form will have to be completed. The league will then send an invoice to the buyer to confirm the order.

Meanwhile, season tickets for all teams are still on sale through the league’s website. Season ticket buyers are asked to register online, but the Bathurst Bears are also selling tickets through the K.C. Irving Regional Centre’s box office.

In Atlantic Canada, we opened our first Papa Johns franchise in Moncton, operating under the name of PJ Atlantic Restaurants Ltd. in 2009.
